Free Gig, Free CD, Free download?
« Thread Started on Feb 5, 2009, 3:22pm »

Adelle are coming back to Canberra! On Friday the 13th (Freaky friday!) they're hitting Woden Youth Centre with locals Pleased To Jive You, Astrochem and Yoko Oh No.

Here at PostOp, we like Adelle. We also like you. So we spoke to Adelle and came up with $28 (+ think of the memories!) worth of prizes!

2 lucky winners will receive:

Free entry to Adelle's show on the 13th of Feb
A free copy of Adelle's recently released "Hello Sane Age Sins", an epic 10 track album.

To win, all you need to do is answer the following question:

What are you most afraid of happening on Friday the 13th?

Most creative answer wins. Get on it :)

What am I most afraid of...

I guess I would be most afraid of missing the show... Oooooooo!
But on missing the show, miss someone knocking their tooth out, Pete's amazing strobe light technology, Adelle's microphone xmas lights, morgan's insane rantings, henry's starship trooper battalion, morgan, declan, jarrad and jim's amazing 'skillz' palimah's crazy dancing, an intergalactic billie jean cover, PTJY's new songs (which are amazing), QLDers saying how cold it is in Canberra (haha), a pun on John Lennon's wife, free entry to the show, people talking about friday the 13th and my all time favourite...... Sindy. Haha

I'm most afraid of the possibility that the world could come to an end any moment and our lives, whilst holy insignificant, will never get the chance to reach their potential. We won't find out the reason we were created, or if there even is a reason and we won't get to fulfil our ambitions, or even get the chance to try. If death comes on said day, our existence will have been worthless and we won't get the chance to fulfill our destiny.

Which is, for me, to play at said gig.

I really want that free CD.

(P.S - Chad had like a million answers, so he's disqualified?)

As long as while we're getting torn apart, Chad dies first, and I get to watch and enjoy it.

I'm afraid not.

But seriously:

I'm afraid that not enough people think hard about what they want in life. Whether it be a simple goal like having a boat, or being thin and adored by all. Or if it be something more complicated, like doing your very best to improve the human race by acting on generosity and genuine care for others and trying to understand and accept everyone's beliefs and actions. I'm afraid that alot of people seemingly have structure and solidity in their life, but lack the most important aspect of life. A purpose.

Wow Morgan. You've just summerised my belief into a mere paragraph. Nice

Fairly sure I get entry anyway because I'm the only one who'll enter who isn't playing

That just gives me reason to not give it to you. Giving it to someone else saves me money :P

Do... I... get entry? Free entry?!

Or is this one of those gigs where the band members have to pay? If so, I think there should be more of them. I'll send Rudd a letter.

P to the iggy. B to the ack.

Declan's left off as usual.

I'm afraid I will have to kill Pete for this.
