Where to start. 2009 will be PostOp's last year based in Canberra. I'll be moving to Brisbane in early 2010, and I'll try to keep it going up there. Heres what I want to achieve in 2009:
Rendezvous 2. Our main problem with this at the moment is a lack of a suitable venue. Weston Comm. Centre would be perfect, but they don't do gigs anymore. Any ideas for this would be heaps appreciated.
Get Mission #1 back to what it was meant to be. Currently no one really writes for it except me. And I'm a shit writer. I'm willing to let the majority of people contribute, as long as what they post is relevant to music somehow. I want it to end up where theres a post every second day.
What else should I be trying to do?

Brisbane's gonna eat you up. Meaning you're gonna be so helpful to them and we'll all be fucked without you.

I know you will. But Owen will come back one day and then CatNip can save you all

Rendezvous 2 would be cool. I didn't know Weston didn't do shows anymore. That sucks. Does it HAVE to be at a venue. I know it'd be convenient but you could do rendezvous at fadden pines, pine island, eddison park etc. Something new, I guess.

problem will all those places is to get a permit you need a certain amount of public liability assurance. Its expensive, and I'm underage so pretty hard to get.

I can get permits fairly easily. I think I have the forms sitting around somewhere. When my mum was campaigning she had to get like 40 permits per week for a few months. Haha.

Question. Is Weston Community Hall the same is Weston Creek Community Center? If so, are you sure they're not putting on shows?
The Red Shore w/ As Blood Runs Black
February 1 @ Weston Community Hall, Canberra.

Its the same venue. They told me they were no longer putting on shows, and I'm pretty sure they told chill the same thing.
Probably Luke from tuggers pulling strings?

Yeah. Luke's pretty sick. I met him the other day and he said he's gonna try and do the same for us. I was working at Pro Audio with a bandmate of his.

Those cunts DID tell me "No more shows! Too much noise!" Then he hung up on me without any hesitation or goodbyes. Plus he was Indian. Go Luke from Tuggers!
