I gotta be honest, if this IS Chad, he should just come clean already. The more he denies it, the more humilating it is for him, and the more hilarious it is for us.
But either way, I want the support of catnip!

I would give you my bank details and home address but my lawyer says I shouldn't do that anymore. The Mission #1 boards, however, demand that you do. And either you and Chad are the same, or one of you is stealing internets from the other.

Tell you what Owen, come to PostOps show on Friday, I'll put you on the doorlist so you don't have to pay. Come find myself or ask someone to point you towards me, and we'll have a chat about putting on a show in the new year Pete

f-f-f-f-f-food?!
Anyway's, I can't see any reason why someone would pretend to be someone else, so I say 'welcome Owen, and I can't wait to see what you bring to the Canberra music scene... hopefully lots of good things'

So what do you hope t achieve with your so called promo company. Are you going to put the money into making poster and spending the time actually putting them up? Are you going to find decent bands to come an headline a show? Are you going to get well known bands from around australia to come and play and AA show? i personally dont think your are going to do much. I reckon you are going to be the kind of person who sits on myspace and flogs shows that you have nothing to do with ie. Bleeding Through, Whitechaple, Misery Signals. Dont waste your time mate.

Yeah, Catnip's just started. Give it time to evolve. And for shit's sake stop being so negative about everything.

I thought unstoppable WANTED more advertisement for bands...
And using posters to advertise are virtually worthless, especially to the all ages scene. It's all about networking and word of mouth. No one sees a poster to bands they've never heard of and says "I'm going to check that out!"

No one important;)
But seriously, posters don't get many people to gigs. There aren't enough people who walk around, see a poster and go to a show to bother with that sort of advertising. Bands need to focus on who they know and getting them to the show, and playing shows with other people who will invite everyone they know. Word of mouth and networking!

They don't really. If you're printing them for free, that's fine. But if you're paying to get posters printed, don't bother. It's a waste of time and money.

Sometimes. Can't really generalise like that though. I know that if I went to Woden or Civic one day and saw the same poster three or four times that day I'd remember it and probably be intrigued and would probably end up going to the gig. I don't think I'm alone there. If there are another five people like that then that's six complete strangers you've got at your gig.
