I honestly think we're one of the most hardworking bands out there, along with Slovac and Tell Me Bluntly. But you're right, we spend more time writing and rehearsing than we do promoting. Priorities, mate. Seems to be working well mate ;D

Well you're wrong. Just because we don't put posters up doesn't mean we're lazy. Just means we've never thought it would work or be right for us. After this thread we probably will start doing it. Also, if you base the bands the play with on how much effort they put in then you're gonna miss out on playing with tonnes of awesome bands. Some bands that hardly do any advertising and play a gig every two months have changed my life. Monster Elephante being one of them. They might be lazy, the might not, but their music is the best thing ever and no matter how hard any other band tries they'll never impress me as much as Monster Elephante.
It's ridiculous to say 'I'm not going to play a gig with you because you don't put posters up'. What the fuck is that shit?!

Why was it funny?! I thought it was more insulting.

I found it amusing because they used to be involved with a promotions company who promoted the fuck out of their first show, and then did almost no advertising outside myspace ever again.

Priorities, mate. Seems to be working well mate ;D What does that even mean? It IS working well. We just spent 5 or 6 days straight recording our debut EP and we've easily got enough songs to do another full 14 track album with b-sides, if we wished. Now we're planning our next 5 songs. During the school work we probably practise what, 3 or 4 times a week? We've been doing a couple of shows every month, making some good contacts, always progressing and getting better. You're acting like we just played a show in front of 10 people, rehearse once a month and have nothing going for us.

Don't want to sound like a dick. But since my band was mentioned I think I can have a say. Declan, to be honest, in the big scheme of things TMB, PTJY and Slo aren't very hard working bands.
Yeah, we all give it heaps, but we all know we could push it SO much more. And I know we all plan on it.

Whoever organizes the show can say exactly what they want and we'll do it. Otherwise, we'll advertise how we see fit, which as I've mentioned, from now on will probably involve postering.

You put on shows relying on the supporting acts to make the show a success...? I don't think we've ever played a gig where people have been annoyed about how many people we've brought. But if you're all about the massive crowd and earning money, power to you.

By involved you mean friends with Pete? Eight Shock and Afraid You'll Fall were pretty much hand in hand there for ages. Did they ever put on a show you guys didn't play? I admire the way they could keep putting on gigs for a handful of people to show up, but as far as promoting went, they were useless after that first show.

If what Pete says is true then it seems you're all up on your high horse, but the horse is made of shit, and you've just decided to eat the shit. Sexually frustrated.

Dave (I hope it's you), haha. Jive are actually a great bunch of guys and always bring a lot of people to shows. And like they said earlier, they're gonna start postering, they just haven't done it previously.
And Decz and Morgz, Dave is a sick dude. He's just a bit touchy because even though he has a forest on his face.... he just got first hair on ball.... Haha. <3

You could band prac 7 days a week for 10 hours a day but that doesnt mean that the songs that you have are any good. To be honest when i saw you guys i didnt pay much attention and yes with practice you are going to get better. But shit how good do you think you guys are? just cause you write 100 songs in a year doenst mean that they are all good now does it.

I know, everyone's a good guy. And disagreements are the basis of me and Declan's friendship, so hopefully it could be like that with Dave.
And for the record I don't think we're good enough.
